Academic Education & Current Position: Dr. Agapi Vasileiadou is an Assistant Professor focused on "Energy Production, Conversion, and Storage Systems", at the Department of Energy Systems, University of Thessaly, Greece. She holds 2 Bachelor of Science: B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and B.Sc. in Geotechnology and Environmental Engineering, 2 Master of Science: M.Sc. in Quality Assurance and M.Sc. in Mechatronics, and a Doctor of Philosophy Ph.D. in Engineering (receiving unanimous "Excellent") at the Department of Environmental Engineering, at the Polytechnic School, Democritus University of Thrace, Greece. In addition, she has completed the Annual Pedagogical and Teaching Proficiency training program at the University school of Pedagogical and Technological Education ASPETE.

Scientific Expertise: Her main research interests include energy production and conversion through the combustion and co-combustion of organic waste - biomass residues and fossil fuels, in terms of fuel quality characteristics / characterization, environmental impact / emissions, synergistic effects, and modeling. Energy saving, circular economy, sustainable development, quality assurance systems (ISO 9001, 14001, etc.). She is a certified inspector IRCA of ISO 9001. She has developed innovative tools for the characterization and categorization of solid alternative biofuels (fuel quality index) and ash (ash quality index).

Academic, Research & Professional Experience: She has many years of Professional Experience (in industry as production supervisor, quality control manager, engineer, etc.). She has participated in 4 Research Projects. She has many years of Teaching Experience in Universities (University of Thessaly, University of Western Macedonia, Permanent Non-Commissioned Officer Academy-SMY) and in Secondary education (Technical Schools).

Experimental Techniques & Theoretical Methods: Calorimetry (isoperobol bomb calorimeter), Thermogravimetric and Differential Thermogravimetric Analysis, Proximate Analysis, Ultimate Analysis, ANYS Chemkin modeling, Kinetic Modeling Analysis, Thermodynamic Analysis, case studies, etc..

Publications: She is the Author of more than 53 publications in Scientific Journals and Conferences. More specifically, 15 of the publications are papers in peer-reviewed International Scientific Journals with High Impact Factor (such as Energy IF: 9.0, Environmental Technology & Innovation IF: 6.7, Environmental Science and Pollution Research IF: 5.8, Energy, Ecology and Environment IF: 3.5, etc.). Also, 4 publications are Monographs while in 7 out of the 11 other publications she is the first author. Her published work has received recognition (7 h-index, 98 citations in Scopus and 114 citations in Google Scholar). Seminars/Training: She has participated in various training programs for engineers (renewable energy sources, green buildings, energy inspectors for heating and air conditioning buildings, ISO 9001, AutoCAD), training for teachers (special education, management of training units, organization and planning of teaching, trainer training), continuous training, python, etc. of about 2452 hours.
