The Department of Energy Systems is implementing specific actions in order to reach specific strategic quality targets. In brief, the strategic targets of the Department concern the provision of high-quality education in the Undergraduate Studies Program, the enhancement of the professional opportunities of the graduates of the Undergraduate Program Studies, the enhancement and promotion of the research activity and innovation and finally the enhancement of the extroversion of the Department.

Another main objective of the Department is its further staffing with new high-level of teaching and research personnel, a process which, however, does not depend exclusively on the Department, but it is linked to the public funding and the funding distribution within the University of Thessaly.
